I've been working on another project, as well, where I began a set of steps and have since constructed the chapel, which can be used in 1/24 scale, but is better suited to 1/18, which is the path I am following. It came as a kit and as it has no roof, I am going to show the chapel with a new roof under construction. The kit came with LED lighting, with dimming capability, as well.
The chapel has not been completely glued together, as yet, while I do the finishing touches. This is mainly due to my concern that the central columns might need to be opened, for the LED wiring that is encased inside.
The second photo shows the balsa product I am using and, as the arches curve a bit, I am scoring the wood to give it the flexibility I need. There will be an overhang on both sides and an extension over the front steps, as well. You can see the effects of arthritis in my scoring and I will redo this first one, now that I have a better means of keeping the blade from pushing the straight-edge out of line.
I have yet to finish the sides of the steps, which I hope to complete next week. As for Jasper Lee, more will come when the project is completed.

Interesting subject matter, please keep us in the loop.... Perhaps something like this might be useful for a few of my 1/18 funereal set-ups. 🤔 🤔 🤔

@chris It's one of a line of 'Book Nooks' designed to fit in your bookcase, among the classics. I have others on the drawing board and as there are soooooo many options - each of which triggers some element of creativity - I am pacing myself. If one follows the directions they are very simple to construct, usually taking about one day, with glue-drying periods included. I won't show the others coming soon, so as not to spoil the surprise(s), but here are a few more pics of this one, which was the least expensive of the lot. Most cost around 30€ - 120€, but this one was only 13€, shipping included. wow! what a brilliant addition to a collection of scale miniatures. I've never seen them before. Looking forward to following your progress.

An update on the steps, which I finished today. I may go lighter in the future, but for now I like this color.
