I have a collection of 1/43 Impalas from 1960 to 65 in white metal but am missing the 1963 and 1964. I noticed that a 1963 was available in diecast from part of the James Bond collection but appeared cheap looking and had figurines in the front seat. I bought the model anyways and decided to strip it down, remove the figurines, repaint it and provide a high level of detail as well as a decent pair of whitewalls. Here is a picture of it stripped down and in primer. I plan to paint it in silver blue metallic.Maybe the Ertl 1964 Impala will be next if this one turns out OK.
It looks great even at this stage and will make a really good addition when you complete it. I have a 1959 Plymouth and a 1937 Rolls-Royce limo 1/43 models from 007 James Bond movies. All are real favorites ! Â
I look forward to seeing the completed model. Â Is this from Ertl?

amazing to see you guys work in 1/43, knowing the issues I have with 1/24/25. Great job Ken.
@ed-davis. Not sure who manufactured these. I picked it up from "the Bay". One listing says Fabbri, one says Eaglemoss and one says Universal Hobbies.
Here's a picture of the finished product as well as a picture of all my Impalas. These models are 1/43 scale and all white metal with the exception of the '63 Impala which is diecast.
The far left is a Brooklin 1961 Impala which has been repainted and changed from a hardtop to a convertible, the 2nd is a 1962 Impala made by American Models, the 3rd is my newly completed 1963 Impala and the far right is Brooklin's 1965 Impala. Just need the 1964.
Great group of Chevrolets with that beautiful new 1963 among them !
Nice set of Chevrolet models. Thanks.
