Here is a postcard that was in my Dad's files from GMC Trucks around the time of the New York World's Fair circa 1964 showing a GMC exhibit of the Tower of Power at the N.Y. Fair.
Any of these trucks would make a superb replica in any scale, although in anything above 1/18 scale, reinforced shelves or a house addition may be necessary for display !
What a memorable display and fabulous keepsake. It looks well thought out and love the nighttime shot with all the lights on. I wonder why the top van is backwards. I'm sure there's a reason and it isn't a distraction, just wonder why. Thanks for always sharing these Mike - hope you're doing well pard!
Thanks, Tony ! I noticed that backwards van on top, too, and I can only think it has more of an overhang in front and may have needed to be placed backwards to fit.
Getting those trucks on and off tgis display must have been exciting !
YEAH; don't you know it was! Thanks, Tony ! I noticed that backwards van on top, too, and I can only think it has more of an overhang in front and may have needed to be placed backwards to fit.

And be careful getting out of the yellow van and do remember your around 25 feet in the air, lol !
that's remarkable, just don't plant the foot driving off! Thanks Mike
@michaeldetorrice Thanks for sharing Mike. I love these pieces of trivia from your dad's files.
I saw that when I was a kid. Still have the postcard somewhere. The best exhibit at the NY World's Fair was Ford's. Riding through the building in a convertible was just so cool.
The Ford exhibit was certainly cool, especially for an 11 year old kid ! All the automobile exhibits were really neat and were prime attractions.
