Here is a great advertisement for the attractive 1951 Pontiac convertible that was in one of my automobile books. Color paintings and artists renditions were used more frequently in decades past and allowed control over certain aspects.
Here the gorgeous '51 Pontiac is placed in a movie-like setting that perhaps is a bit unsettling, too, with the distant lighthouse, the car lit-up in some perhaps unsettling manner ..... and nobody at all in or near the Pontiac !
As if to say: Only the Pontiac Eight can take you to such a beautiful and romantic place!
Fabulous old ad piece - thanks for sharing it Mike!!

That car looks extremely well-fed
Yes, it is a good-looking automobile and it has that "Silver Streak" styling. My Grandparents 1955 Pontiac had dual silver streak styling touches and I still remember that feature !
@michaeldetorrice My parents had a 55 Star Chief convertible with dual strips. Back in the day I heard them called suspenders.
LOL. That fits. Speaking of which, my grandmother used to call them galluses. They held up your pants like a belt or suspenders. I reckon it's a Southern term. Found this:@michaeldetorrice My parents had a 55 Star Chief convertible with dual strips. Back in the day I heard them called suspenders.

Man oh man....the things a person learns on this forum!
I'm a longtime fan of the late 40s - early 50s Pontiac. Sadly when these beauties are included in the "Which" compares they usually get kicked to the curb.

They are good-looking automobiles from Pontiac
Many years ago, a friend of mine, who had an automobile body shop, was restoring a 1949 and a 1950 Pontiac.
