Many years ago the Renwal plastic/model company did a whole series of pre-painted styrene plastic automobile replica kits. I still have the 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K model and it is mostly done but this is the reverse side of the instruction sheet showing the large range of 1/48 scale car models.

I remember these. My brother had 12 of them on display in their cases as shown. I don't know what ever happened to them when we moved south.

All very nice models and there were the clear display plastic boxes and multi-hanger system to display your cars A very good series by Renwal !

...never heard of these, but they look pretty cool.... I'll Google these out to see actuals.
I learned about their 1/4 scale (yes 1/4 scale! ) "working" chassis & trans kit (to compliment their working 1/4 V8 engine kit ) only a few years ago. Issued before my time, had I known or seen one of these as a kid, I would've lost my mind!
