Here is an old picture taken (not by me, as I was only a couple of years old) in front of our local (circa 1893) town hall building. Is the car in front a Hudson Jet or a Ford Mainliner automobile in about 1955 or so ?

The car is a 1954 Ford Customline two door sedan.

Here is another image in Riverside from perhaps the mid-1960's showing a Ford sedan driving perhaps a block or so away from where the other image was taken.

You're welcome ! I didn't take these photographs as I was too young to know what part of the camera to point at the subject.

However, I was undoubtedly just a kid a block or so away at my parents house when someone actually did snap these photos ! Roll

Thanks, Tony ! Lol, here is the same view a decade or so later. I see an old Chevy and a couple Mercurys). Of course, today the view would be ....... exactly the same ! (except for a summer cruise night, in which case it WOULD be exactly the same.) Wink

@bob-jackman Good eye Bob!

Once again I get the twinge to hop into that elusive time machine and set the dial to 1955!  Lol

Thanks ! It is a pretty cool town hall building from so long ago. There are also a couple of Frank Lloyd Wright homes in town and the Riverside street plan was done by circa 1868 by landscape designer Fredrick Law Omstead and is studied in universities as a village specifically designed to fit into it's natural setting.
