Here are a couple of images in my Dad's files taken at the Chicago auto show at the International Amphitheater in about 1950. Studebaker was a client of my Dad's and my Grandfather was an Assistant Chief Engineer at Diamond-T trucks  which probably explains why my father had these photographs.

Diamond-T was headquartered here in Chicago and Studebaker was located in South Bend, Indiana ...... not too far away.

You are all welcome ! For a variety of reasons, I wish I could travel back in time. In the meantime, replica scale automobiles and trucks and old photographs will stand in nicely. Silly

IMO, Studebaker commercial trucks were handsome rigs.   I love that last pic...   you can see the "tire dressing"  wasn't quite completely applied to that RF wheel.  I would love to have a 1/18 scale replica of that truck!
