Ertl did a "Body Shop" kit series of diecast models in which a pre-painted body was included in a kit with other parts which you constructed and assembled/put together yourself.
This is the really good-looking 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle in a deep purple exterior color. It makes a fine diecast replica of this particularly attractive automobile.
You weave that wonderful magic again Mike! I love the 66 & 67 Chevelle's and your photos capture that styling. Like a chronicle of a western road trip, beautiful job!!
Thanks, Tony ! After my stroke and subsequent move from my old apt, I am basically havingvto re-set up and re-learn photo stuff that used to be second nature, so this series from the past is more common right now.
Thanks ! Such diecasts were comparatively inexpensive but looked good. That is a win-win situation.
A series of pics I click through again. First pic looks like it could be used in the 1:1s advertising copy.
Thanks ! The Chevelle was such a good-looking car, real or model, just pointing an in-focus lens in it's direction was bound to look nice.
@michaeldetorrice Mike; after I saw your post about the Ertl Body Shop series (I had not heard about it before), I started searching ebay for the 1967 Chevelle. I owned two of these in 1:1 many years ago and just love those cars. Wish I had the one back. Well, I found one on ebay and bought it and it just came today. Very nice. Now I need to get to work assembling it! Thanks for inspiring me to spend more money!! HA!!
Lol, that's great ! I am glad you found one .... it is an extremely good-looking automobile and 1/18 model of it. One of the toughest parts of doing a diecast model is the painting ..... and Ertl has already taken care of that.
@perrone1 Thanks Tony. It might take me awhile to get to this and hopefully get it assembled properly so it looks ok. I will then submit photos. Do not hold your breath!!
