wow, what a way to sell performance cars! A successful well known race driver conducting safety and performance drag racing clinics at Dodge dealerships.
Nice for you Chris. Rick, my youngest brother, and I went to a Shelby workers reunion event as it was open to the public. After seeing Mr.Shelby we waited patiently for him not to be mobbed by anyone and my brother and I walked up and asked him if he would sign a motor trend magazine where the issue had compared a Shelby GT500 to a Corvette. He was genuinely surprised at how old and pristine that magazine was. he signed the cover of the magazine right on the decklid of the mustang. While we were finishing up talking to him. A young man came by with about eight model cars that he wanted Caroll to sign well Mr. Shelby absolutely refused to do that.

That's kind of surprising..... I thought he signed everything.
My best friend (a Mustang/Shelby nut ) owned a few books & mags Carroll autographed and sent him a super rare Shelby book to sign but the book was never returned. We drove to the Shelby America factory/shop in Las Vegas but to no avail. 😒 😒
@100ford2003 ...yeah, who knows? Without question, Carroll could lose his temper and/or go off the deep end with the best of them - BUT - it's hard to find any pics of him NOT smiling! 😉 😉 😊 😀
Gotta love #1 with #1 👍 💪
I can understand someone coming up and asking politely for an autograph but when someone asks for at least six models to be signed… well to me that’s a little bit overboard and then with all the time involved in taking the models out of the boxes I can see why he said no.
