Two of the biggest announcements of the day: GP Replicas has listed twenty-four new Formula One references for the first quarter of 2027 — Ayrton Senna’s McLarens from 1992 and 1993, Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2002 in 1:12, the F399, Michele Alboreto’s 156/85 and the Benetton B194. Tecnomodel has twenty of its own for February 2027, and twelve of those are the 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster in six liveries, done in both 1:43 and 1:18. Around them: BBR has seven new colours for the 812 GTS, KK Scale has tooled a 1957 Buick station wagon, Ottomobile announced seven for March 2027, IXO America has nine for June 2027, and Mini GT opened six new 1:64 pre-orders. Reference numbers, prices and delivery windows are given where the manufacturers stated them, and flagged where they did not.
GP Replicas: twenty-four historic Formula One cars
All quoted for the first quarter of 2027. Almost every car is offered twice — once plain and once with a driver figure fitted — which is why the reference count runs so high for what is really nine subjects.
In 1:12: the F2002
- GP12-52A and GP12-52AWD — Ferrari F2002 number 1, Michael Schumacher, pole, fastest lap and winner, Belgian Grand Prix at Spa 2002
- GP12-52B and GP12-52BWD — the same car, winner of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka 2002
The F2002 is arguably the most dominant Formula One car ever built, and 1:12 is the scale that does a Ferrari V10 justice. Very few manufacturers work at that size in resin at all.
In 1:18: Senna, twice over
- GP197A, GP197AWD — McLaren Honda MP4/7 number 1, Ayrton Senna, winner, Monaco Grand Prix 1992
- GP197BWD and GPMZ08 — the MP4/7, winner of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza 1992
- GP198A, GP198AWD — McLaren MP4/8 Ford number 8, Senna, winner, Brazilian Grand Prix 1993
- GP198B, GP198BWD — the MP4/8, winner, Monaco Grand Prix 1993
The MP4/8 is the one to want. That was the Ford-engined season nobody expected anything from, and Senna won five races in it, including the Donington drive in the rain that people still argue was the best of his career. Monaco 1993 was his sixth win there, which remains the record.
In 1:18: the rest
- GP196A, GP196AWD — Ferrari F399 number 3, Schumacher, second at the Malaysian Grand Prix 1999
- GP196BWD — the F399, Schumacher, second at the Japanese Grand Prix 1999
- GP196CWD — Ferrari F399 number 4, Eddie Irvine, third at the Japanese Grand Prix 1999
- GP199A, GP199AWD — Ferrari 156/85 number 27, Michele Alboreto, winner, German Grand Prix 1985
- GP199B, GP199BWD — the 156/85, second at the British Grand Prix 1985
- GP200A — Benetton B194 Ford number 5, Schumacher, pole, fastest lap and winner, Monaco Grand Prix 1994
- GP200B, GP200BWD — the B194, fastest lap and winner, Brazilian Grand Prix 1994
- GPWC008 — the B194 Monaco car with driver figure
Malaysia 1999 is the interesting choice. That was Schumacher’s return after breaking his leg at Silverstone, riding shotgun for Irvine’s title bid — he took pole by nearly a second, led, then handed the win over. Modelling the second-place car rather than the winner is the sort of decision that tells you somebody at the company knows the season.
Alboreto’s 156/85 is the other one worth pausing on. He won at the Nürburgring in 1985 and went into the second half of the season leading the championship; Ferrari then failed to finish a race for the rest of the year and he never won again. It is a car that has been badly under-served in scale.
Tecnomodel: twenty references, and twelve of them are one car
Everything below is quoted for February 2027 and listed as a limited edition, though Tecnomodel has not published the edition sizes.
The 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster, six ways, in both scales
Six liveries, each done in 1:43 at $160 and in 1:18 at $350. The 1:43 references run TM43-69A to TM43-69F, the 1:18 references TM18-459A to TM18-459F, in the same order:
- A — Riverside 1965, Chris Amon, car 71
- B — Nassau 1965, Chris Amon, car 4
- C — Le Mans 1965, Maurice Trintignant and Guy Ligier
- D — the 1965 press car
- E — Targa Florio 1965, Bob Bondurant, car 194
- F — 1000km of the Nürburgring 1965, Richard Attwood and John Whitmore
Ford built only a handful of open GT40s, and they have been almost entirely ignored in scale in favour of the coupes and the Mk IIs. Getting six of them at once, at two sizes, from a maker whose finish is as good as Tecnomodel’s, is the kind of thing that does not happen twice. The Le Mans entry is the historically loaded one — Trintignant and Ligier in a roadster, the year before Ford’s win, when the GT40 programme was still failing.
Worth saying plainly: at $160 the 1:43 is expensive for the scale, and at $350 the 1:18 is at the top end of resin. The subject is the argument.
BAR Supertec 1999, with and without Villeneuve in it
Four cars from British American Racing’s first season, in 1:18. Each comes twice: TM18-346A to D without a driver figure at $335, and TMD18-483A to D with one at $345.
- A — French Grand Prix, Ricardo Zonta, car 23, on wet tyres
- B — Monaco Grand Prix, Jacques Villeneuve, car 22
- C — San Marino Grand Prix, Mika Salo, car 23
- D — the Spanish test car, Villeneuve

BAR’s 1999 season is one of the great cautionary tales in the sport — a brand new team with a world champion, enormous confidence and a stated intention to win, which finished the year with no points at all and eleven retirements from sixteen starts for Villeneuve alone.
It is also why these will sell. The team wanted to run one car in Lucky Strike colours and the other in 555, the governing body refused on the grounds that entrants must run a single livery, and the compromise was the split scheme with the zip running down the middle of the car. There is no other Formula One livery like it, and almost nobody has modelled it properly. Salo in car 23 covers the stretch when he was standing in for the injured Zonta.
1:18
KK-Scale: a 1957 Buick Special Estate Wagon
Announced this morning for the end of October. No reference numbers or colours were published with the post, and it has not yet appeared anywhere else.
A fifties American station wagon in 1:18 is a rare thing, and the 1957 Special wagon is rarer still — it is the year Buick went to the sweeping chrome side-spear and the big wraparound glass, and the wagon body carried it better than the sedans did. Nobody else is making one. This is the second week running that KK-Scale has put out something no other manufacturer at its price point would attempt.

BBR: the 812 GTS in seven new colours
- P18184Q — Verde Pino metallic with an Argento Nürburgring stripe
- P18184R — Rosso Fuoco, no stripe
- P18184S — Viola Hong Kong with yellow stripes on the bonnet
- P18184S1 — Viola Hong Kong with yellow lines along the sides
- P18184S2 — Viola Hong Kong with yellow accents
- P18184T — Viola Vio with a yellow stripe
- P18184U — dark blue carbon
Three of the seven are the same purple with the yellow put in three different places, which is BBR doing what BBR does: the tooling is paid for, so the catalogue grows sideways. Whether a buyer can tell S from S1 from S2 across a room is a fair question, but the Viola Hong Kong cars will be the ones that sell.
Ottomobile: seven for March 2027
- OT1337 — Rocket Bunny Aero (V1) Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) in red, 2015, in the OttO Project Cars line
- OT1412 — Volkswagen Golf 7 Oettinger TCR Germany Street in Candy Red, 2019, also Project Cars
- OT1427 — BMW M4 GT4, Nürburgring 24 Hours 2026
- OT1407 — Volkswagen Golf VIII R 333 Limited Edition, Lime Yellow Metallic, 2023
- OT1405 — Ford Fiesta Mk1 XR2, Diamond White, 1981
- OT1409 — Renault 14 TS, Rouge 705, 1983
- OT1317 — Dacia Duster Redust Sport 4×2 Hybrid in green, 2025
All sealed resin. The Renault 14 is the one that will make French collectors sit up — a car so unloved at the time that its own advertising compared it to a pear, and one almost nobody has tooled since. A Dacia Duster in 1:18 is nearly as unlikely.
Sun Star: a right-hand-drive Escort Ghia
5032R — the 1983 Ford Escort Mark III Ghia in Quartz Gold, right-hand drive, barcode 657440050326. Sun Star’s post quotes a release date of July 2026, which has already passed; treat the timing as unclear until the company restates it.
The Mark III Ghia in gold with the brown interior is about as precisely 1983 as a car can be, and the right-hand-drive dashboard is the part that matters — most manufacturers convert the body and leave the interior alone.
LookSmart joins the SF-26 Italian GP queue
LS18F1091 and LS18F1092 in 1:18, LSF1092 and LSF1093 in 1:43 — the Ferrari SF-26 from the 2026 Italian Grand Prix, both the Hamilton and the Leclerc cars. No edition sizes, prices or delivery windows have been published.
That makes three manufacturers now committed to the Monza car in some form. The livery is doing a lot of work here.
1:43
Minichamps: Antonelli’s Shanghai win, with a pit board
417260212 — the Mercedes-AMG Petronas W17 as raced by Kimi Antonelli to victory at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, in 1:43. Minichamps is calling it a winner’s edition and packing a pit board with it.
The pit board is a small thing that collectors of this stuff care about disproportionately — it turns a car on a plinth into a scene.
Brumm: two 312 PBs and four Fiats
Six new references, all quoted as available from 25 September:
- R445-UPD-2026 — Ferrari 312 PB number 10, second at the BOAC 1000km, Brands Hatch 1972, Ronnie Peterson and Tim Schenken
- R675 — Ferrari 312 PB number 30, 1000km of Buenos Aires 1972, Peterson and Schenken
- R611-02-UPD-2026 and R611-07-UPD-2026 — Fiat Panda 750L Supernova 1986, two versions
- R617 — Fiat 4×4 Supernova Polizia 1986
- R618 — Fiat 4×4 Supernova Carabinieri 1986
The 312 PB went unbeaten through the 1972 World Championship for Makes, and Brumm has been working through that season car by car. The Panda 4×4 in Carabinieri livery is the opposite kind of subject entirely and probably the more charming one.
IXO America: nine for June 2027, and most of them are trucks
- 1:64 1973 Peterbilt 359, grey and purple
- 1:64 1952 Peterbilt 350, blue and cream
- 1:43 2014 Peterbilt 377, blue and champagne
- 1:64 1953 Mack B61, rusty green and black
- 1:64 1976 Kenworth W900A, blue and blue
- 1:64 1998 Freightliner Classic, blue, cream and peach
- 1:43 1967 Shelby GT500, Brittany Blue
- 1:64 1987 Toyota Supra (A70), dark blue metallic and silver
- 1:64 1986 Mazda RX-7 GXL, satin gold metallic
The Mack B61 finished in “rusty green” is the one to note — a factory-weathered finish is unusual at any scale and very unusual from IXO, and a rusted B61 is exactly the thing diorama builders have been asking manufacturers for.
1:64
Mini GT: six new pre-orders
- MGT01377 — Lamborghini Huracán LB-WORKS, Lime Metallic, left- and right-hand drive
- MGT01379 — Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1959, black, left-hand drive only
- MGT01380 — Land Rover Defender 110, 1998 Camel Trophy Tierra del Fuego, CT.24 Italy, left-hand drive only
- MGT01381 — Lamborghini Urus Performante, Viola Pasifae, left- and right-hand drive
- MGT01382 — Hyundai Ioniq 5 N RS-01T Stealth, left-hand drive only
- MGT01386 — BMW Z3 Hellrot, left- and right-hand drive
The Camel Trophy Defender is the standout. Those trucks have a following far out of proportion to how many were built, and a specific entry from the 1998 Tierra del Fuego event is a collector’s reference rather than a generic sand-coloured Land Rover.
The BMW Z3 in Hellrot is the other surprise — an ordinary nineties roadster in a period colour, which is not where Mini GT usually spends its tooling.
Quick hits
- Two manufacturers announced driver figures as separate references on the same day. GP Replicas is doubling up almost its entire Formula One run, and Tecnomodel is charging ten dollars more for the BAR with Villeneuve in the seat. Selling the figure as its own catalogue number rather than boxing it in is becoming the norm at the top of the market.
- Two makers are now doing the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz at opposite ends of the scale range in the same month — Mini GT in 1:64, and Stamp Models in 1:43 as its first ever die-cast model. Neither has said anything about the other.
- Ford’s 1965 season is having a moment. Tecnomodel has six GT40 Roadsters coming and IXO has a 1967 Shelby GT500 in 1:43, while ACME’s GT40 Mk IV from last week is still taking orders.
- Prices here are manufacturer or importer MSRP where they published them — which today means Tecnomodel and nobody else. Everything from GP Replicas, Brumm, Ottomobile and IXO comes from trade listings, so no consumer price is given.
- Nothing new since yesterday from GLM, Stamp, AUTOart, Kyosho, GT Spirit or Spark.
