Tecnomodel is doing the March 707 Can-Am in 1:18, five versions of a car that has almost never been modelled — among them Helmut Kelleners’ Nürburgring winner and Chris Amon’s Laguna Seca car. Also this week: Maxima opens seven 1:18 resins led by a shark-nose Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, Sun Star adds two more 1960 Plymouth Furys, TSM and Top Speed put the Daytona-winning Porsche 963 into 1:12 and 1:18, Esval builds a 1956 Chevrolet emergency fleet in 1:43, and KK-Scale has a 1985 Lincoln Town Car coming in November.
Tecnomodel: the March 707 Can-Am in 1:18
March Engineering’s 707 was the Bicester firm’s one serious run at Can-Am, built for 1970 and raced on both sides of the Atlantic. Tecnomodel has opened five references in 1:18, all listed for the first quarter of 2027.
- TM18-398A — March 707 Can-Am, 1970 press car, plain red
- TM18-398B — #1, Internationales ADAC Nürburgring 1970, winner, Helmut Kelleners
- TM18-398C — #77, Laguna Seca 1970, Chris Amon
- TM18-398D — #47, Road America, Gordon Dewar
- TM18-398E — March 707-717 #22, Interserie Hockenheim 1973, Stefan Sklenar
One thing to watch: the trade sheet dates the Dewar Road America car to 1970, while Tecnomodel’s own product listing gives 1971. We are leaving that one open until the maker settles it rather than pick a year.

KK-Scale says the 1985 Lincoln Town Car arrives in November, in 1:18. It lands in a year that has been unusually kind to the Town Car: GLM showed a 1989 Town Car Signature in 1:18 last month, so collectors who have waited a long time for a decent one now have a choice of era.
