Thank you Marty. You covered the Pocher problem very well. I build mine in my 30s and they look over daunting now. Yes, I only completed the chassis on my 540K Mercedes. My wire wheels on the five Pochers that I did them on were definitely the most complicated and time consuming part of the builds. I'm amazed that I persevered and completed this task. In my 40s I stuck to 1/43 Provence Moulage etc. resin construction and white metal kits and only ventured into larger kits on occasion. I did plastic kit builds also like most of us. I never had the talent like you Marty and Chris to complete complicated immaculate builds long term.
....I'm glad Marty finally chimed in on this thread; I knew he'd have much to contribute. 😀 😀
Wow, brings back memories... I am even more late to this thread (later than David G!)... Dad started a Pocher steam engine kit, O gauge or bigger, but only finished the bogies! 1000's of parts and screws/bolts... I donated it to a local model train club after he passed away... Here are some other Pocher, 1/18 plastic toys!
