1:1 Pics from the Huntington Beach 'Old World Village' show..hope you enjoy these!
Steve, for those of us (me) who aren't as car literate as others, ny chance of listing what the cars are? We all know some but others (me) can't id some. Thanks.
Thank's for the great pictures
All great, except the VW.
Sorry Don, some of the 30s and 40s I don't know. I have a habit of just whipping thru these shows and don't take notes as to what is what..and some owners don't put any info up. I will make an effort to write down notes for future postings! Thanks for asking as I understand. I'm a complete non-know it all when it comes to early years. But I sure can identify the 50s thru 80s..lol.
Wait..you mean that Phaeton? That was kinda cool! I liked that VW when
I saw it and if I could afford it, I might have got one. IMO it's 'under the radar' and doesn't shout 'hey look at me'. Of course I would have gone with the 'base' model...lol.
You're most welcome!
It was a bad marketing move. If I'm not mistaken, only 18 were sold in the U.S.
A quote about the Phaeton in the US 'The demise of the Phaeton says something bad about North Americans' pretensions of a classless society. We just don't do stealth wealth.'

Matte finish
Does anyone know how you take care of a matte finish car like on the 56 Chevy? Do you ever wax it? I know that had matte finish cars on some of the pony/muscle car hoods, but didn't ever think of how to keep them looking good.
