1911 Marmon Wasp [PIC]
This Indy winner was on my wish list for ages. Replicarz did a pretty nice job. Talk is they're sorry they didn't produce more as presales were phenomenal.

Looks like the best "antiquer" I know worked a little.......
Of his magic on the wheels and springs. It really brings them to life. Nice job !

Yeah... it's about midway now....
I had to stop and take some pics before I went too crazy. I'm kinda planning a driver figure too. I've been going through the body parts box for inspiration.

Nice job Rich! Pretty decent for resin; one of the few that feature an engine.

that decision was made midstream in the model's development....
to their credit, they kept the same pricepoint.

They did a nice job on this car striking a good balance between detail & cost and your detailing work will make it even better.
I might be in the minority but I think this model would look great 'fully manned'

I thought the car looked too toy like out of the box
Your weathering adds a great deal to the appearance of the model. As I recall, the racers n the museum are pretty original. Not prettied up. Nice work. I did the same to my Exoto 999 Ford racer. It has a real patina. It looks 110 but not overdone, I hope. I haven't bought one because I no longer collect 1/18 for the most part. BTW, aren't the outer rims black? Will you add that detail?

The outer rims look body color in the old B&Ws so I'm not sure what to do with them. I just tried to pick put the detail that gets lost when you have to put down a relatively heavier coat of paint when doing yellow because it doesn't hide the under color too well with a thin coat.
It's not a good candidate for race day weathering because the radiator detail is not sharply defined and the "32" is a decal and the carrier film covers over what little there is. I've had better models to work with using $15 Bburagos.
I only did a touch of paint detailing to the "999". I did make a driver figure for it.
