In 1954, Ferrari developed this 375MM into a 375 Plus. The "Plus" referred to the increased displacement of the 3.75 liter Lampredi V12 to a whopping 5.0 liter that now produced a minimum of 325 hp @ 6000 rpm. It won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the '54 Carrera Panamericana. Its last win was the 1955 Buenos Aires Grand Prix before being overmatched by The Mercedes 300 SLR silver arrows.

I've usually stayed away from BBR models because of their high price tag, but this model was reduced to half price by Fairfield Mint of all places.

fantastic model.  BBR hasn't done many fully opening models, but when they do, they're loaded with details.

Beautiful model! At half price you got a bargain Rich. Love this model of which I have four different 1/43 scale issues

I have the 1:24 version by Historic Replicars, but always liked the BBR model and will buy it if I find it at bargain price. Let me see if I can find @lu pictures of the 1:24 model ...

This is a great model and easily on par with CMC models.  Years ago I bought a secondary market one that I'm thrilled to have in my collection.

BTW, a quick eBay search revealed that this model can be acquired for around $300.  That's a great price for a model with this extraordinary level of detail.
