Just a few pics of Precision Miniature's 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-dr hardtop; unfortunately, this was their only 4-dr hardtop. I adjusted the whitewall width on the yellow/black version (PM's were too wide for '56 )Β  but haven't yet got around to the others I have....Β  Β too lazy. πŸ™„Β

Nice looking models. Do you know about when they were made?

Dayum, I can't believe how stupid I was for selling mine. What a beautiful Chevrolet model. I've always liked the '56 more than the 55 & 57

I've nothing - to say about this model. I never thought about the white walls which wouldn't have bothered me one single bit.. BTW, Chris... does it have tire valve stems LMAO

These Precision Miniature 1956 Chevrolet's all look excellent here ! Each one is a real gem and I am delighted to also have a green/yellow version. PM did a fine job on these 1/18 Chevys and I wish the various other automobiles they had planned had come to pass, too.

IMO the beautiful '56 Bel Air 4drht. and the '56 Ford Fairlane equivalent ought to be done in 1:43 scale some day.Β  What do you think Sergio?Β  Wink Β

@jkuvakas Thanks John, I know there were many variations. I was glad to see "skirt & conny"Β  releases too.

I have the "opposite"Β Β problem. The green/yellow version (with my fabricated steelie spare...no valve stemΒ  πŸ™„) was a special "Vicky's Gifts"Β  release that sold for a whopping $70.00!Β  A full $25-$30 more than MSRP.

However, months later they were clearance-ingΒ  them out @ $30Β  Β  Β

Regrettably, I could've/should've purchased SEVRAL more but passed. ....Stupid!Β Β  πŸ˜” πŸ˜” πŸ˜”Β

Me too.....

Their '59 Cadillac limo was manufactured and thanks to ACME, we saw the 1956 Chrysler St. Regis (coupe & convertible ) but all their OTHER cars, seen on this board, never happened. They also had planned to market a 1947 Cadillac ambulance & hearse.Β Β  πŸ˜” πŸ˜”Β

'56 Ford Fairlane equivalent

I've thought about fabricating one in 1/18. πŸ€” πŸ€”Β Β  '56 Ford 4-dr hardtops are rare today, in fact some don't realize they were even produced. Rarer still, are '56 Plymouth 4-dr hardtops. 😬 😬

@chris I've got one close to your 4 door Plymouth. It's an ancient Modelhaus resin kit build of a Savoy. (the pics are ancient too_

I had the purple/white one with the connie and skirts and also the green/yellow one without.Β  They were excellent models IMO but sadly they were stolen.
