Bee-uti-full !!!Â
You can never go wrong with an Auto Art Corvette !Â
I have the '53 in white, the '63 cnvrt in silver-blue, the '69 cnvrt in yellow and the '80 in red.Â
Love em all and didn't let them slip through my fingers when I sold my collection.Â

That looks great ! Corvettes are fantastic sports automobiles and this one certainly shows it beautifully. I have a red/white cove Ertl 1962 1/18 Corvette and it too looks sensational.
Really good looking car, good looking model and excellent images.
@mikedetorrice Mike having the coves done in a contrasting color was no longer available in 1962. Perhaps your model is a 1961.
Nice model but the white walls are too narrow.
@bob-jackman ...yeah, I though it wasn't even an option as Chevy tried their best to prepare the public for the all-new '63s.
Nice model but the white walls are too narrow.
YES! YES! YES! You are correct sir! Â
ALL my "normal" whitewall tricks/fixes are simply NO GOOD here because these tires have hard-plastic whitewall inserts, therefore, I can't add paint to increase the OD (outer diameter ). The only fix is a complete tire swap.
...the wheel tracks are a bit wide too. This tire/track issue is common on all early (1953-1962 ) Autoart Vettes. 😔 My 1953 Autoart Vette is a great model, but the tires are ALL WRONG for '53!
Yep, that pic shows the tires are way inboard of the fenders !!Â
Oh well, darn it, who else does a '53 Vette better than AutoArt...Â
I can live with it cuz I think the model is just SPECTACULAR !!Â
LOLÂ
Especially compared to the Ertl which tried real hard.Â
SteveÂ
@100ford2003 Without question, AA's '53 Vette is the best. I still need to make an "up-top" though. Ertl's '53 isn't bad (their up-top sucks! ) and their wheels look better BUT the red rim is PAINTED onto the whitewall...which is an EPIC SIN!  😡 😡 🤬 🤬Â
Years ago, I used/modified the 6-cylinder engine from that model for my '56 Chevy 150 project.
And without a doubt you did a dayum good job !

That's possible, Bob and I just have it listed as a 1962, I think it was part of the Ertl series that had the black license plate with the silver "50" and the crossed flags.I guess there are some other possibilities like "restored" car. I have seen pictures at an apparent Sotheby site of a beautiful 1962 red Corvette that had ended up with a white cove. This could be it in the picture.
