At $91.56, what do the critics think?

It looks right...

although I never liked the looks of it to begin with. My friend had the high performance option (slant 6 with a 4 bbl) and used to race it on weekends.

IMO, this is a great choice. Tires look a bit thick (rims a bit small??). Body looks good!

Yes! I Always thought it and the Dodge Lancer were unusual designs for American cars.

Walter are you sure it's 1:24th? Typically these plastic kits are 1:25th scale

Maybe as a nostalgic buy...

My parents bought a pale green V100 Valiant station wagon in the Spring of 1960. I was 12, and remember it well. Peppy little slant six, pushbutton auto. I think the SW body shape was actually less awkward than the sedan. Anyway, nice to see a model of a somewhat obscure, arcane subject. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd be in for any and all static models like from model years 1940 to 1970 American cars only.

And I'd have no problem with the (around) $100 price tag either. Bring 'em on! BUT IN 1:24 PLEASE!!!

I'm with you George

I like early-mid 50s to early-mid 60s American. 1:24.

I have bought a number of BoS (Best of Show) resin models since DM/FM/CMC stopped making 1:24 scale models. The dimensions of BoS models look spot on especially the 1957 Imperials (4 door sedan and hardtop), 1967 Eldorado (big minus is wide whitewalls), Mercedes Autobahn Kurrier (gorgeous) and most recently a very stunning 1957 Buick Century Caballero in white and blue. Note that these don't have the heft that we are use to from diecast, windows are sealed and interiors are quite nice. Paint and scripting are excellent, but some of the trim on some is merely silver paint. Still the look is definitely there and they are more finely detailed than most Suncast models. They are available on eBay (many European sellers), but I have found them at American Excellence at better prices and MUCH lower shipping. I think this Valiant looks really good and from my experience would not hesitate to buy a BoS model. Only downside is they take up a lot of shelf space.
