This Authentics 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is a showstopper because that color not only "pops"  but almost explodes.  The matching interior is so 1960's.  I was disappointed to not find a color-matching spare, but those floor mounted seat-buckle heads just scream "pre-1967!"

It is a beautifully-done diecast car from Ertl Authentics ! I have the 1/18 model of this powerful V-8 Chevy in gleaming black.

I too love the color. I owned a 1963 Corvair Spyder convertible in this color with the matching interior.

@jcarnutz Thanks. I purchased years ago after I was drawn to it; there seem to be a "glow"  emanating from the box. My crappy pics do NOT do it justice.

@chris

It is a fantastic color, and your photos are great. You've captured the look of the garage perfectly. The lighting and atmosphere is well-done.

This would be a good start to do a Smokey Yunick 1966/67 Chevelle NASCAR stock car. Black and Gold number 13 with only Smokeys "Best Damn Garage In Town" logo on the front fender.

Really?   If it's somewhat of an EZ-PEAZY conversion you should forward your suggestion to Autoworld's FB page. They're always seeking advice/ideas. Seems like a natural "money-making"  idea to me. 🤑 🤑 🤑

This is a great model.  I found the scaling and accuracy to be top-notch.  I used it as the donor car for my Maynard Rupp Chevoom.
