For anyone who cares....   Jerry Seinfeld has now reported that his #20 Steve McQueen Porsche 917K  was a sold a few days after the MECUM auction ended.  Neither the buyer nor the price was disclosed but one can only assume "$25 -$30 million-ish"  was agreed upon.  Jerry no longer owns this famous Porsche 917 that he treasured for almost 25 years.

NOTE: Initially, I posted this update on the original thread - created by Rich.  Because of these ongoing site-glitches, however, that tread never "updated,"  therefore, I'll simply "post fresh"  to share this info now.   (Again, for all who care )

It's a real trophy for some billionaire. Thanks for the update. Good for Jerry. Now he can finally get off welfare. LOL

LoL....  As I noted (and as you know ) Jerry's close to being, or probably is, a billionaire by now.    One of my favorite stories:

Although Billy Joel's estate was not for sale, Jerry commented on how much he loved it.  Subsequently, Billy shot him a some-what inflated price, but Jerry agreed, and the house was sold.

A few years later Jerry and his wife wanted to do some remolding. As the contractor finished quoting ALL the projects & updates, he said, "You know, it would be cheaper to knock it ALL down and rebuild from scratch."

So.... that's what Jerry did - as Jerry puts it, "because I can."      That's my kind of "welfare."     😏
