I just saw the movie "Ferrari" starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. It's set in 1957 with flashbacks and an epilogue. Two stories here: first, Ferrari is going bankrupt and the consensus is he must win that year's Mille Miglia to have enough standing to ask either Fiat's Gianni Agnelli or Ford for capital infusion that would allow the production of more consumer cars and thereby support his racing program. The other subplot is his contentious marriage not helped by his sole heir, Dino, dying of kidney failure. She owns half the company and during this time, finds out that he's been supporting a woman who he met during the war time destruction of his plant and the had a son, Piero, who he loves but cannot claim due to his wife. Anyway, the movie may be the best since "Grand Prix" with an absolute treasure trove of every 250 Ferraris of that period with a couple of Maserati 450S as well as a Jaguar. The racing scenes are spectacular from the test track at Modena to the grueling Mille Miglia where both Maserati's Orsi family and Ferrari were both facing bankruptcy and the Mille Miglia event was seen as 'do or die' to them both. IMHO the racing surpasses any similar movie of that genre. It's on Hulu which I have as a bundle with Disney+.
