Not to rain on the parade, but at first glance, the wheels appear inaccurate. Here, I found an excuse not to buy it ... grape is too sour? maybe ... love the car though.
Danbury got the wheels right but not the business.
I have this model and it is outstanding. It makes quite a presence in it's display case. Finding models of this era in 1/18 scale isn't easy and I buy everyone I can find.

Chav, the comparison pics that you showed are of a Packard Twelve with somewhat oversize tires/whitewall. A google search shows lots of pics of Packard Eights with smaller tires and the smaller hub-cap as well. Generally, the various restorer's choices of tires and wheels are all over the map.
Cliff, my comment was in regard of the small hubcaps and the length of the spokes. I wasn't paying attention to the size of the tires, you are right the tires and their whitewalls are oversized on the 1:1 I posted.
The hubcaps on their 1/43 model look better.
I see the Packard-8 hubcaps are smaller than the Packard-12 ones.
There are also too many spokes (42 to be accurate) on the CMF wheel, vs. 20 on Packard-8 and 24 on a Packard-12 wheel. Only counted the front spokes on the 1:1's. The 1/18 CMF wheels just don't look right. Did they just combined the total number of spokes and photo etched them on the front plane?
CMF (42 front spokes, pic is low res, could not find a bigger one)
