This is Yat-Ming's 1/18 '48 Ford Woody Wagon but I cut-out & hinged the rear doors, tailgate, and tailgate window; they were all sealed - and I can't live with that! 😏 The 100+ pic how-to PART 1 & PART 2 tutorial is posted below in the Model-Related Handicrafts Forum (if anyone cares ).
The last 4 pics show the model as it began (minus the surf board ). 😎
- Thanks for noticing; I didn't want to d r a g this out AND once all the metal was hacked away, I was essentially dealing with plastic - noth'n to it, but to do it. 😏 😏

...thanks guys (but it's really not that big a deal ). Hopefully, I've inspired some of YOU - I know you can't be totally happy with every model YOU own, right? 🤔 🤔
Rich.... no, I haven't yet fixed those terrible headlights.
That method (removing the tab, etc... ) never really works for me. A few years ago, I had a surplus of Yat-Ming '46-'48 Fords but sold them off. I now realize I should've kept a few for their headlights. 😔 😔
You'll note that, for whatever reason, the headlights on these convertibles look much better than those on the '48 Woody. I'll acquire a junker (or two ) and simply replace the '48's headlights with these better-looking versions.
- I could always cheat and use chrome headlight covers - but I hate that look! 😕 😕
