It's been a personal mission to acquire models of the cars I've owned.  I've been fortunate that I've managed to acquire many.  Recently, I just learned there was a 1992-ish MB 300E in the same exterior color in 1:18 scale by Norev.  It was the first MB I owned.  (Actually, I purchased it for my business partner but repossessed it from him when I discovered he was embezzling from my company. But that's another story for another time.  But I must say I was so gleeful to hear a few years later that he got busted and imprisoned for embezzling $60 Million from unsuspecting investors!).   So, I'm including it in the cars I've owned.

This is my first Norev model. I'm actually quite impressed because I didn't realize they were that good.  I'm thrilled to add this model as a scale copy of 1:1 cars I've owned.

92 MB 3 Qtr Front

Lots to unpack here... yes, there's always great internal gratification knowing a thief who stole from you was ultimately punished. You'll recall I had an incident with a cocky (among other things ) contractor.  It took 3 years, 8 months & two weeks... the Judge gave him a choice, "Return Mr. Moroni's money or serve time in prison."   My money was returned.

Embezzling $60 million, however, is a "next-level"  crime. Thank goodness you weren't involved in that. NOREV models have improved, most are very good. Many of their early sedans have a sealed rear doors. I passed on those but acquired others.

You're lucky to find/have so many models of personal cars. I can't make that claim; I have only a few.  My latest "match"  hasn't been released yet.  This 1/64 '54 Lincoln Capri is identical to one I had about 25 years ago.

Congrats on your latest "match!"

It is a superb-looking Mercedes-Benz replica. It is a great one to have in your 1/18 collection ..... and it brings back some happy memories, too ! Cool

Interesting to hear this is your first Norev...and a great choice for that first model.  Generally, their MB models are very well done, especially the recent releases like this W124 E-Class.  They've announced a 500E this year too, which I'm very excited about.
