This rare Chrysler Valiant VH Charger R/T E49 (149 built) built on a Chrysler A body platform was only sold in Australia and New Zealand. The Charger line up was the popular 2 door version of their 4 door Valiant. I saw one in Thailand of all places in 1971. Once this fastback short wheel base version was released, it accounted for 80% of Valiant sales. Although Chrysler's 318 and 340 V8s were options, the star of the show for racing was the little 265 cid 6 cylinder powerhouse. With its hemispheric heads and 3X2bbl setup, its 302 HP gave it a significant weight advantage over the V8s, especially in handling.

Nice presentation Rich. A very Aussie looking vehicle! 302 hp from that I-6? Not bad at all. 🤔 😎 🤔 😎
