Designed as a luxury grand touring replacement for the 911, this model was produced from 1978 to 1995. Ultimately the 911 series just wouldn't be replaced.

I never have been able to get past the bulky look of these cars but I understand that they are pretty good cars. I have a model of the car in brown which doesn't help it's image IMO.

This is a good-looking model. I've driven a few 928's. They were great for what they were intended to be, a fast, solid, smooth GT.

Love the 928 & AA did a fantastic job on theirs.  I wish they had done some of the later cars as well...'86S, S4, GT & GTS.  My dad bought an '86S new & had it for about 3 years....super fun car.
