Like the West's Porsche Super Cup series, the Far East has their 'Porsche Infineon Carrera Cup Asia'. It's also integrated with the Asian Grand Prix. Born in Canada, O'Young left for Hong Kong at 21 using his marketing and business acumen to land on the Jebsen Group racing team. He was a very successful driver in GT racing all over Asia. He was a 3 time Macau Grand Prix winner and a 2 time Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion during the 'aught' decade. Later he placed a class second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013. I got a model of his 2005 Macau Grand Prix winning Porsche GT3 RSR as a review piece. Knowing nothing of the car The name "Blue Girl" imported beer sounded very Asian to me so I looked it up and, sure enough, it's Made in Seoul, Korea and is popular throughout Asia. Sooner or later, I got the driver's bio and then stumbled on this 1/6 scale O'Young figure in full battle gear with a really well stitched uniform with shoes , helmet and accessories (olive leaf laurel and trophy)... the 1/6 zipper actually works. Of course for display purposes, the figure is 3X the size of the model, but I don't consider it in the the top ten of stupid purchases I've made over the years, if only because the figure is so well crafted.

Great post. That O’Young figure is really well done and quite a find.

Nice displays/post.  I remember seeing this before but didn't realize your figure is 1/6 scale.  Is there a 1/6 Carroll Shelby available?  A friend is building that Deagostini 1/6 1967 Shelby Mustang, a "scale zipper-ed-outfitted Carroll"  would be cool!  😎 😎

@chris I have an Adam West Batman in that scale.

Anyone doing a Batmobile in 1/6?

Batman 014
Batman 018 001
Batman 015

Yes Rich, the largest commercially available Batmobile is in 1/6 scale and was released about 13 months ago. Two things you'll need to know:

1) You better have allot of room available. Yikes!

2) You will not need to fabricate your own 1/6 Robin. 😎

I like the 1/8 a bit better ONLY because the hood opens.... you gotta  have an engine!

@chris WOW!!! My Batman was the one that was made for this. I thought the project was dead. These darned thing sell out so quick I missed the Burt Ward Robin too.

How about 1/4 scale space ships for the Flash Gordon ("Buster" Crabb) and Ming the Merciless (Charles Middleton) serials?

To my knowledge, no...   you're on your own. You must fabricate one from whole cloth.  My I suggest you start with 75-gallon, galvanized trash can.  😏 😏 😆

always liked the livery on that Porsche.  AA did a really nice job on all their GT3 Cup cars.
