Thanks Marty. A look at a piece of history I never knew existed.

I never knew these existed

I kind-of-sort-of did.... BUT I didn't KNOW any details.

LSS: When I was researching all that 1/18 WW II "stuff"  I have... I came across pics & info about these weird looking trucks, but NEVER read anything until now.

Two engines is TOO unreal!   I can't imagine that kind of coin for these, but then again - Where are you going to find another?   What an awesome project idea, if I didn't have 2,126 ahead of it, I might consider this one.

- Very cool Marty, thank you.  😎 😎

This is WAY cool. I knew of other military 'special' builds. Following tractors, the Navy had many Naval Grey special-made and completely modified tractors for pulling planes on airbases and those for use aboard aircraft carriers. Many were made by Ford, others by Chrysler.

My first time seeing these twin-engined trucks. WAY cool!

Cool trucks, both should be put into a museum to preserve both of them in their current condition for the history.

There's a lot of rust on the undercarriage of the second one but if there's a significant monetary award at the end of the rainbow and the purchase price isn't too steep, I think someone will take that project on.
