This 1932 Alfa Romeo 2300 Le Mans won that race with similar cars winning in 1931 and 1933. It's 2.3 liter straight 8 was nearly unbeatable until the advent of the Mercedes Benz silver arrows and Auto Unions.

This is a fantastic model. I have several different issues in 1/43 scale but you certainly cannot beat this 1/18 example for fantastic detail. Thanks for posting this Rich.
