While I was awaiting the results of the last Jaguar auction, I noticed this little jewel at a price too reasonable to ignore.  It should be on its way, tomorrow.

Another Bburago 1961 Jaguar E-Type, in green:

..... although it's in scale, and the overall proportions look pretty good, this particular Bburago, however, is too "toy-like."       I could never live with those doors.    😫 😫 😫 😫     The tops of the doors - the door frames - are stuck to the roof.....     auh, no.  😥 😣

@chris I tried and received one. Let's just say my Pitbull has a new " chew " toy.🫣🫣🫣

@chris I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't believe I got one of their better versions.

@david-green   My partner suggested it was because I have very green eyes.

@chris  um...Mister Moroni, there is ample space for one to create a chrome window surround and mount it to the door.  It will take a bit of creativity, but I may just put that on my summer list of projects.  May I assume Tamiya has chrome paint in its line up?

@gdh Yes, fabricating door frames would be relatively easy, but you must grind away those existing frames molded to the roof and B-pillars first.   That will require precise cutting and a bit of "hand work" - filing, sanding, and shaping.     Please post pics should you decide to tackle this.    Tamiya does produce "bright silver."      😉

@chris   I like the green E-type best, so I will experiment with the red one that is on the way.

I will have to see if I can remove the body from the frame, to protect the interior from my work.

@chris   So far I have only found 'Chrome Silver - X-11,' in bottled acrylic paint.

EDIT: I don't yet know what the PS is, as far as spray or bottle, but I did just find PS-41 Bright Silver.  The fun now will be to see if it is available in Germany.

@100ford2003   I must confess I've never heard of it.  I did find Chris's suggested PS-41 but it only comes in a spray can and I only need a tiny amount for a 1/24 Bugatti mascot.

It makes a ton of difference. It looks for all the world like chrome or metal trim. A steady hand is prefered!
