CMC's 1963 Porsche 901. It was also nominated for best leather and fabric upholstery, gas filler and a beautifully modeled vent window. The replacement for Porsche's 356, 80 were built with that badge before Peugeot sued for the middle zero in the model number which they had trademarked. Oddly, it only applies to passenger cars which would be competitive with theirs. As to dedicated race cars, Porsche was allowed to use the '907', '908' and '909' for their track cars. I always swore I had no interest in Porsches and Corvettes, and somehow I wound up with dozens of various models. This CMC model is a real gem and beautifully crafted.
And, the rest of the model is pretty cool too.
Beautiful car and model and astonishing detail !
Without a doubt, a REAL gem! Worse, it's not in my collection.
Who does the nominating and judging?
That CMC model looks real enough to get in and drive away.

Have it, love it. Even the lug nuts are operable along with the tool kit. A gem in every regard as shown by your wonderful pictures Rich.
....yeah 😔 😔 😔 Your great pics Rich only serve as a reminder that I was a complete dumb a** for NOT jumping on these when they were c.$175 (Not really being a collector of foreign cars - but this one is an exceptionally nice CMC ) I thought, "I'll wait until the price drops to $140 or so, then I'll buy one just for the heck of it..."
HA! "DUMB A**!" 😩 😩
@100ford2003 They came in 4 colors ............. Cream, Yellow, Green and a LE Navy Blue. I got at issue time the Cream because of the interior color.
CMC did an incredible job on this car.
