My wife bought this for me a few years back on our trip to St. Augustine, Florida, where we found an actual diecast shop...Big Bill's Diecast. I hadn't been in an actual shop in 10+ years. No bargains to be found, but a pretty incredible inventory. My wife knows I'm a Mustang fan & convinced me to way overpay.
The model itself is very good and loaded with details. My only negatives are the wheels seem a size too small & the shut lines on the doors are massive (the Maisto's are better).
with the previous S197 generation by Greenlight.
and the Shelby GT350R by GT Spirit
Yeah, it's hard to ignore that door gap. It's encouraging that Maisto/ Bburago are picking up their game so much and with the significantly lower pricepoint, they're becoming real players in the medium priced market. I recently purchased a 2020 Ford GT and found it superior to what else is out there. The Bburago Ferraris are also a great buy.
These Autoworld Mustangs are decent. I too have picked up a few over the years.
Funny thing, I found that store last year when I was in St. Augustine and I also found that their were no bargains to be had and nothing that interested me that I didn't already have except for a 1965 Mustang!
thanks guys!
Great model!
