Henry Seagrave drove this British Sunbeam 1000 HP Mystery aka: "The Slug" at Daytona in 1927 as not only the first British entry, but the first to break the 200mph barrier at 203.79 mph. It was also designed by J. S. "Captain Jack" and was powered by two Sunbeam Matabele 22,4 liter V12s; one in front and one behind the driver. When the engines were synchronized, they were locked by a clutch with chains as the final drive linkage. Although known as the '1000 Hp', the combined horsepower was around 900. This is another wind up tin type replica.

Another interesting record car Rich. I have this tinplate one also as well as the Western Models 1/43 and Lledo versions. This one really stands out on the shelf.
