How about a pic of the undercarriage. This is a Motorbox, right?Â
@chris I figured you were saying both side and rear exhausts were complete and in '67, these Vettes were all privateers so anything was possible.
You sure the rear is not representing tire and track debris kicked up by the rear tires rather than exhaust?Â

I considered that, but you'll notice there's "dirt weathering"Â and "black-smoke weathering."Â Â The rear clearly has "black-smoke weathering"Â emanating from each tail pipe.
@chris The Motorbox '67 white #69 race car ( a Finish Line Plus ) shows the same set up on the website.
Â
I still love this terrific racing Vette regardless ! As the old saying goes, "I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers and leaving crumbs !"
Â
@mikedetorrice You're easy. LOL
Ha, lol , Rich ! Well, I always considered it a relaxing hobby with nice scale automobiles that I or somebody else likes, so I generally don't get too upset with either this or that. I also found out that the "experts" are apparently wrong a surprising amount of the time, too.Â
This is such a beautiful racing Corvette that the only thing that really counts is that it's good-looking and I like it !Â
These particular Sting Rays can go for $500 plus on secondary markets.....despite this glaring error (unless someone can provide contrary evidence ).Â
"Relaxing hobby?"  Never! Some of my hairs have fallen out, I've learned new swear words, I lose sleep, I sweat the small stuff, I panic, etc...... 😬 😬 😬 😬Â
I usually consider something is perhaps ok unless absolutely, positively proven otherwise (and proving a negative is nearly impossible to do)). Since a number of times it's debatable and also so-called experts have shown to be wrong, I simply say "like what you get and get what you like !"
Also, I consider any car to be quite possible to be modeled : concept, brand-new, dealer modified, design study, current restoration, etc, etc The is no "law" that says only certain cars can be modeled. In any case, are collectors actually going to use an unknown computer monitor, unknown eyes and viewing conditions, a decades old color chart from unknown sources, etc, etc. to "prove" something ?
I seem to recall years ago on the old DCP a particular collector was furious a new diecast was going to be offered in something like 4 colors , like red, white, blue and black. The first three colors were pretty well known, but the black one was currently more alleged/rumored/possible. It looked great but rather than just getting the first three and being happy he refused any other color or possibility because of this .
Years later, an extremely rare and apparently valid example in black showed up, making the 4th diecast likely quite correct. But the furious collector had already missed his chance because "he knew" exactly what was valid after x number of years.
