This 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT had gotten significant upgrades from the year prior's release of the 5.7 Diablo that replaced the Countach. With the V12 upped to 6.0 liters the Bizzarini designed engine now produced 543 HP with electric fuel injection now given to all 4 wheels with its odd sounding "Viscous Traction" (VT). The VT system is regularly RWD, but with any slippage detected, 20% of the power goes to the front wheels. The pop-up headlamps now faired in. Copious amounts of carbon fiber within and without saved weight without losing rigidity. A new ergonomic dash an Audi-sourced switchgear made driving a lot easier and comfortable especially when adding power steering and ABS to the mix for the first time. The car was made to be driven all out with full power only coming at 7100 rpm. Analyst Nik Berg wrote an article for Car and Driver claiming he had driven every Lamborghini from the 400GT to the modern day and rated this Diablo 6.0 GT the best of the best. I guess I'd have to take his word for it.
It's a great looking model but driving such a beast - properly - is beyond my skill set. Awesome pics!
Q: Why is that outer right taillight not red? Damage? Factory correct? 🤔 🤔 🤔
@chris There is a lens and it's clear except for lower right a bit of red. It's the same on the real car.
Proper driving a Lamborghini is beyond the skillset of 99%+ of Lambo owners. LOL!It's a great looking model but driving such a beast - properly - is beyond my skill set. Awesome pics!

@100ford2003 ....here's one that's less Barney. 😉 😉 These machines can be ordered in any color, right? So, yeah.... Barney-ish is NO problem. 😉 😉
BTW, the Diablo was actually supposed to look like the Cizeta-Moroder V16T. When Chrysler bought Lamborghini, the Diablo designer Marcello Gandini, was pissed when they softened his original design. He took his design and sold it to Cizeta.
