...or simply Sixteen as it was called when this concept car debuted in 2003. I don't have many concept cars in my collection but this 1,000 hp, unmistakenly Cadillac 4-door hardtop with glass roof was too good to pass up. Ricko released this 1/18 years ago and I bought right away...it's very good but not great.
West Coast Precision  actually makes a better version but it's in 1/24. 😔Â
Shown with this Cadillac concept are a few guys from the design studio and a concept model of the Cadillac Elmiraj (which was watered down to become ATS coupes ).

Yep, that Ricko was a nice try. It had some rather large panel gaps. It would have been great to see AutoArt manufacture it.Â
I'm not sure that AutoArt has done a lot of concept cars but their Ford Forty-Niner is an A+ in my book.
I saw this one at the Detroit Auto Show in 2003. Impressive then, and the model represents it well.

Lucky you! I have never seen this one (or the Elmiraj ) in person but would love to.

Yep, that's exactly the way I feel about this Ricko!Â
That Ford Forty-Niner is an awesome model, but I've resisted purchasing it because I really don't want to start another "sub-collection." When you think about it....there are HUNDREDS of 1/18 concept replicas out there.
PS
Many years ago, there was talk that Ford might actually produce the Forty-Niner as part of the Retro-Craze sweeping the industry. Ford actually produced a convertible which I would've stood in line for!! Of course, nothing came of any of this, but I remember thinking, "I must have that convertible!"Â
It might have been a bigger hit than that retro T-Bird. It looks pretty good to me.
@100ford2003 I agree 100%Â I would LOVE to have one!
That Cadillac Sixteen looks great...totally forgot about that Concept. Very cool that Ricko produced it.
