is like calling a Rolls Royce a 'family sedan'. The Maserati 300S was produced from 1955 to 1958 to run as a sports car. Only 26 examples were produced and probably no two were alike being constantly tinkered with. This 1956 model was its first successful track car with the '55s needed a lot of bugs worked out. It was a class winner at Nurburgring and finished 2nd overall to the more powerful 450S. The 3.0 liter 6 produced 245 HP after its compression had to be reduced from 12:1 to 9.5:1 when regulations demanded it to be run on regular gas. after a massive accident at the '57 Mille Miglia, the last few examples were sold off to customers in the US. The last production 300S was outfitted with a new V12 as a 350S.
This 1956 CMC model represents one of 3 different body designs of Medardo Fantuzzi with the changes done mostly to the front clip. So what kind of a model do you get with a parts count of 1836? You get an amazing museum quality replica.

@chris Me too. Every time when I go to post it throws me off the site onto a browser page. Oddly when I got back in, my post was there!
