Those are all great Camaros - and Camaro scale replicas!  😎 😎

I too have managed to assemble "one of each."     I've featured most of these individually, but those pics are on different files and, at the moment, I'm too lazy to dig through them, so, um.....    this is it!  😀 😀 😀

....yeah, you'll notice I do NOT have one.   ....know where I can get a good one?     🤔 🤔 🤨 🤨

Of the three available in 1/18, ALL have flaws I can't live with.  I suppose I could "improve"  any one of them but I'm SO LAZY!    😫 😫 😫

- Ertl's looks really good until you open that dog-leg door AND the trunk is sealed.

- Franklin Mint's looks OK, AND the trunk opens, but those stupid "dog-legs"  are, well.... stupid!

- Maisto's has far better "aspect-like"  hinges, AND the trunk opens, but the overall simplicity of the model makes it toy-like.

ERTL:

FRANKLIN MINT:

MAISTO:

@bob-jackman LoL!    😉 😀

Yeah, I'm a picky bastard!    You'll recall I dismissed about twenty 1/18 versions of James Bond's 1964 silver Aston Martin DB5 - until - Autoart  revised theirs.    Finally, one came along I could live with; I purchased it immediately.    😎 😎

"Chris, so FM made a 1/18 Camaro, how did I miss this?"

Yeah (sigh ) ....  it seemed more like an afterthought.   I'm sure Tony P. and/or Rich S. can provide additional info.   In short, FM's 1/18 Camaro was really no better than a very good Ertl - which was 1/4 the price.

Unfortunately, FM did NOT tool the same level of quality in that 1/18 as they did in their 1/24's.

Steve, I had two of FM's Camaro's and as Chris indicated, they were less than their usual precision presentation. In my opinion - FAR less. The body shape was my biggest gripe, it was totally off and yes, it had the dog leg hinges while most of the industry product was using internally hinged doors.

Acme made 1/18ths for DM but I'm not sure who, if anyone other than FM, made the larger scale models. FM did a myriad of scales, 1/43, 1/18, 1/16 and so on so it could have come from their existing China vendors.

Camaros were good-looking and performing automobiles. I have the "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" Camaro in silver/gray and I recently came across it and snapped some quick phone-camera images of it. However, I would be more pleased with a full-size Phobe Cates, bikini or no bikini ! Wink
