coo coo cool !!!......Plum Crazy and friends 🤓Â
I missed out big-time on the '71.Â
Darn !
These all look great and in a selection of hues ! I am also delighted to have a variety of Dodge Chargers between 1966-1969-1971, all from different manufacturers and in different colors It has always been a classic muscle car.
What a great collection !Â
I'll take pic #1 in I think...Sassy Frass Green ??? Sorry, I can't remember all the great color names MOPAR had for those Hi Impact Colors.Â
I heard / read that Plum Crazy was going to be called Stuatory Grape but lawyer's nixed it. Â
Anyone heard this ?Â
SteveÂ
@100ford2003 That name may have limited the sales numbers Steve....lol.
...yeah, he reminded me that I do have more Chargers packed away. 🙄  "Statutory Grape" ...never heard that story (true or not ).
Still, for my money....and despite being nauseated by black interiors....the coolest/best factory Charger was this one! I love the power, styling, Ferrari-inspired taillights, whitewalls & wheelcovers. Triple black is the ONLY way to go!
@john-barry I believe the color shown is either Panther Pink or Moulin Rouge. I don't recall which division used which name.

thanks Bob...........this is the one I took to be "Plum Crazy"
@john-barry Actually, that's Dark Blue Poly on this 1966. The '69 is Hemi Orange (I think 🤔), the '70 is Panther Pink, and the 1971 is Dark Bronze Irid.
@chris .......as usual, Mr Bob was right...........thanks Chris
I didn't think that the plum crazy color debuted until 1970 cuz that's the color my sister had on her 70 Challenger.Â

I had heard that story, too, although I am not sure if true, it may be. Of course, people (and lawyers) can have a lawsuit about essentially anything !
