Designed and built in 1974, the Ferrari 312T hit the ground running in the 1975 F1 season capturing both the Constructor's and Driver's (Nikki Lauda) Championships and, althought the following year the tall air box behind the driver was banned, subsequent iterations of the design (T2 to T4) made this Ferrari's most successful F1 car through 1980. It was powered by the 510 hp naturally aspirated 3.0 liter flat 12 through a transverse mounted gear box (the 'T' in 312T). That nasty looking front mounted blade reminds me of a full sized Battle Bot.

Cool model Rich. Love that TV and diorama set-up. 😎 Why was the air box banned?
@chris Just another way to restrict performance. It was replaced by side NACA scoops to cool each bank.
Great looking racer and a particularly detailed model ! It certainly displays superbly and the shown figures here are also an excellent addition to any diorama that this Ferrari is in.
Beautiful model. Love the engine & exhaust detail!
