Chinese Jeep Cherokee - Anyone have one? Review?
Hey guys, it's been a VERY long time (10 years) but I'm still around and I still collect diecast on occasion.
I've become aware that a Chinese outfit is now producing a pretty decent looking 1984/1985 Jeep Cherokee. Has anyone got one, and if you do, how do you like it? Shows up on Ebay a lot, they seem to be in red, yellow, green, blue, white, and silver. Pictures are in the link:
Albert, I don't have this model but have purchased "others like this" and they're ALL excellent.....
..Often packing in more features and "finger fun" than advertised. I've received 1/18 Fords, Buicks, Cadillacs, etc... (American cars). The ONLY negative associated with these purchases are the "exchange rate/conversion fees" charged to your account. This will NOT show up anywhere else, only on your bank statement. Ebay does warn that "additional overseas fees may apply." Believe it. They do! I've noticed that, in most cases, you can expect to pay as much as 85% of the original price in additional "conversion fees."
Once these added costs are factored in, IMO, these "great China prices" are really not a bargain at all. I've since learn to seek out American sellers offering these fantastic 1/18 models. Sadly though, they're hard to find.
My 2 cents.

Thank you Chris.
How much did the fees hit you for? I see the Jeep and I really want it, either that or the Cadillac ATS since I have one just like it 1/1.
