Not being the expert you are, but knowing that M-B truck would be a bit "dated" for German WW II use, I have seen those square-nose trucks "pressed into service" in WW II newsreels.
There's a fair amount of 1/18 American & German WW II stuff available but very few trucks. A CMC WWII German truck or halftrack would be a must-have-replica for me!
