A favorite 'larger' scale. Danbury Mint's 1:12th scale 1957 C1 with C4 interior and engine and working everything, including lights. The Corvette "Street Machine" custom:

BTW, I've always thought due to the complete redesign of the body and interior, the 1956 Corvette should have been designated the C2, which would have made the 1963 the C3.  That would have made the current C8 the C9.

I totally agree with that Marty. The '56 was a newer generation than the '53-'55. And the '56 was far apart from the '62, yet both were considered in the same generation.

I think GM got it right. The fact that all C1s  shared the same wheelbase AND had trunks makes them part of the same generation,  despite their re-worked (but similar ) bodies.  😐

@chris Good point. Visually, the stylings were so drastically different among the shared generations.

DM actually had three 1:12th Corvette issues. I stock, blue '56, a stock '57, in black if I remember correctly, and this custom pearl yellow '57. All had the full lighting features; brake lights, turn signals, high beams and standard and interior lighting. Removable wheels, working suspension, etc.

Somehow that got by me....  I Googled  a few, impressive!  Now it all makes sense.....  I never understood why MM issued a decent looking, but crude 1/12 Vette, which could be had, at one time, for about $15 (which is probably what I paid on eBay )   Thanks Tony!  😎

@perrone1 - My wallet shudders when I think how much it would cost to obtain that 1:12 DM "Street Machine" Corvette model.  Currently, someone is asking $2,750 on eBay.

It took me a minute to find it but, WOW; that's nuts. OK, it is #1 of a limited 1,000 pieces. I can see a small premium for that but not $2,750.

If I had one of those, I'd fit it for a Kawasaki motor and a blade deck and use it to mow the yard!!  Scared Shut Mouth Laughing Out Loud
