Yat Ming made a whole series of really nice 1/18 scale diecast pickup trucks. Here are a couple of snaps of a green Ford one from the early 1950's. Included here is one showing that a gal's date has briefly stopped at the house to run inside to obtain a "necessity" for the drive-in movie the two of them are not going to see.

Super pictures Mike. I especially like your commentary on the second one.

Nice settings for your truck photos.   I thought I Had that year of Ford, but I ONLY HAVE THE 48 and 53 Fords.

Lol, very many years ago I also did this SFX image of several happy couples viewing a triple feature at the Sky-Hi drive-in movie using some 1/18 diecast automobile models. I am sure those were all memorable movies ....

That 1951(2?) Ford P/U is nicely done, it deserves to be brought up to the next level.   Nice pics.

Remember those themed-Ertl releases?   "Steamy Windows"  was my favorite.  😏 😏

Lol, a great idea and a fine 1955 Chevrolet from Ertl. My Dad had a 1:1 coral and dark gray 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air.

Here it is in the background of this photograph from back then ....

@grockwood The only models I know of the 51/52 Ford pickup are the 1/24 scale from Danbury Mint and a 1/87 HO scale.

I was wrong mine,  Is a Welly and apparently Greenlight also makes one,  Hadn't seen though except on EBAY.

What a beautiful red Ford pickup ! Now that I think if it, my green Ford pickup may actually be a Welly diecast replica ? Lol, whoever made it did a good job and it's a really nice model.

They look great ! Pickups are very "American" and I am delighted to have several diecasts in this scale. I also have a t-shirt of the 1990's Chevrolet SS454 pickup. Quite a vehicle for back then.
