This RS/SS 396 Camaro has all the bells and whistles you could ask for (unless you asked Don Yenko). Disappearing headlamps, chin spoiler, functioning hood vents, cool graphics and the 375 hp 396 cid Turbo-Jet V8.
@jkuvakasWell, this is embarrassing. Two things I've forgotten: 1.) whether they open (with the separated panels, it sure looks like they do). 2.) where I put the #$!@*!! model. My collection got away from me years ago. Finding certain models now would require an archaeological dig. That model sat open on my coffee table for years until I gave it a good cleaning and put it away... somewhere.
It looks superb ! This Chevy Camaro was such a good-looking pony car.
On one of my 1970 Mercury Cougars from Welly, this is behind the grille. I don't think the headlight doors open at all, but it is an interesting feature.
@mikedetorrice That IS interesting...that they would replicate that, despite not having opening headlight doors. But it's VERY COOL to see that detail under the hood! 😀
I have a 1967 Yenko Camaro with hidden headlights and a 1968 Camaro with hidden headlights both from Lane Exact Detail and neither one is operational. I also have the 1969 Camaro from the Highway 61 mold and it as well has hidden headlight but they are not operational.
