Ford Econoline E100 build - Part 3
Well, to be honest this is progessing a little faster than I anticipated. I fabricated a number of pieces. A "doghouse" engine cover was built. I don't want it permanently attached so I've installed magnets to hold the cover in place. With the doghouse being removable, that will enable better viewing of the engine compartment from inside the cab interior.
The body came raw without any interior pieces. Therefore, all of the interior will have to be fabricated. I've already done the floor and now I've completed the rough of the door panels. Of course, they'll need final touch up finishing but the basic idea has been solved.
I've also began building a rough of the pickup bed too. It's a bit of a tight fit between the engine compartment and the bed so I will probably move the engine wall to give it a bit more space.
Next will be to build the hinge for the passenger side door, attached the door panel to the driver side, wire the engine, and build engine compartment walls. I'm waiting for the final pieces I need from my 3D printer vendor. After that, it's just a matter of polishing up all of the rough edges which means a lot adjusting, filling, filing, and sanding. Then it's mock up, disassembly, paint, and then the dreaded and scary part... final assembly.

...do you have in mind for wheels and paint? I love this style truck/van. I'd be inclined (..not econo-lined..ha,ha) to do a stock-van version.

... mentioned, in a Chip Foose-ian kind of style. In that vein, it will also have modern wheels and tires. And yes, if you decided to do one I would expect it to be true to your style which would be bone stock straight from the factory floor.
