Ford or Mercury. The number 3 Red Mercury GT40 MKII driven by Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant and the number 1 Ford GT40 MKII driven by Ken Miles and Denny Hulme at Le Mans in 1966. Ford used the Mercury division branding on the number 3 GT40 MKII at Le Mans in 1966.

CORRECTION: Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant did drive a GT40 MKII at Le Mans in 1966 and it was a red number 3 but it was branded Ford.

Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt raced the red number 3 Mercury branded GT40 MKII at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona but they failed to finish the race having transmission problems and finally threw a rod.

Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt raced a red number 1 Ford GT40 MK IV at Le Mans in 1967 winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
