I've been very fortunate that the model car manufacturers have brought 33 of my Holy Grail "Must Have" models to market. I've acquired all available that fall into the Holy Grail category. Some required modification, but the basic model had to be available. Only a handful of models remain unmade that are in my list of "Must Have.  How about you?Â

Knowing you, I can see the attraction for these specified replicas. I didn't realize that there was such a strong desire for a Ford Econoline (..but OK, sure. Why not?) However, what's the backstory behind the 1956 GMC Greyhound Bus? I mean, they're cool looking and all......but...  ... a "Holy Grail Bus?" Please elaborate........
@chris - I love buses! Many moons ago, there was some talk about a Greyhound Scenic Cruiser being produced in 1:24 scale. I remember the Zone was all giddy about the prospect of the model being available. For whatever reason, it never was produced. However, the Scenic Cruiser is available in 1:43 scale. I pounced on it. It's as long as my 1:18 scale models! Â
@chris - Regarding the Econoline, for many decades I dreamed of acquiring the 1:1 vehicle and dropping a larger V8 engine, and making it a cool street cruiser. Needless to say, that dream never came true. However, when I saw the 1:18 3D printed Econoline body, I knew I could replicate my unrealized 1:1 dream in model car scale. Hence, it was a "Holy Grail" vehicle.Â
 Â
@chris - BTW, I realized I left out an important "Holy Grail" model! I don't know how I possibly overlooked it! Â
@marty-johnson I had been waiting since 1966 for a decent model. Only Mattel could afford the multiple licenses (DC, Warner Bros, Barris, et al)
There are so many American cars between approximately the mid-1930's and the mid-1970's that have not yet been done in 1/18th in any manner, that my list would be laughably long !
But a quick sampling of a few I would love to see are perhaps :
1958 Oldsmobile 98 (almost done by Precision Miniatures ?)
1960 and 1961 Dodge Polara and Dart
1960 full-size Mercury
1974 Chevrolet Caprice 454 coupe
1970 Mercury Marauder X-100
1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan
Nash from 1935 - 1951
1956 Rambler Rebel
1960 Oldsmobile 98
1969 Ford Galaxie XL
LOL, this quick list is getting really long, so I'll stop here.

Mike, If you were a collector of 1/43 scale, most everything you listed are available.
Mike, that's a great list of cars but this one in particular, even though it's not your preferred scale, I just think is a real standout:
Barry Levittan
Long Island, NY

You are absolutely correct, Bob. 1/43 scale has an amazing and extensive catalog and that's a reason why I also happily collect in that scale, too. As always, in all the scales I have models in, finances and room are among the key limiting factors. These will not be issues when I win the lottery, however ! 😎Â

That looks fantastic ! Actually, although I generally have more replicas in 1/18 scale, 1/43 is also a scale I collect in and I would be delighted to have this one.
I'd like a Mangusta and a stock '71-'72 Pantera.
