I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I like it

And I know it is only a concept but sure would like another Citroen in my 1/18 collection. This
is a Citroen Tubikphoto no longer available
concept van and yes it is far out but remember this is old weird Dick here.

I wish Citroen would bring back the old DS

Design and yes they could do some updates if they wanted but
for me they wouldn't have to except to the running gear for
more power. Just leave the design alone enough to know that
it is still the DS that we Citroen folks came to know and
love and leave that same suspension alone for the worlds
most wonderful ride. It was so sad when that car was taken
away and the only reason I still don't drive one today is
price of repairs and qualified people to still work on them
close enough for me to get to. I used to work for a Citroen
dealer as a mechanic but my health will will not allow me to
ever work on a car again, not even change my own oil or
spark plug, parts are just to expensive for me to own such a
car. They are very dependable cars but if one should break I
would be without a car so I have elected to just have my
wonderful memories and that is fair enough.

Awesome and thanks.

There was a Citroen repair man that worked out of his house
in Portland not to many years ago and he had Citroen's lined
all up and down the side streets around his house. Don't
know how he got around the city because he had a lot of them
and among them were three of these vans that belonged to him
and they were in good condition. That was about 10 years ago
the last I was by there so don't know if he is still there
or not.
Thanks for the pictures.
I know I wouldn't want my nice cars no matter what kind just
sitting on the streets of Portland day after day with no
cover or anything but they were there for a very long time,
more than a few years because he had his business there.

You're welcome, Dick. I shot these at the 2010 Citroen Rendezvous in Saratoga Springs, NY.........

I can count on one hand the number of these that I've ever seen. There were also more SM's at this show than I've ever seen in one place ; over 30!

Citroen Maserati post

So true and sad. I heard the CM was under powered I do not know if I am correct. I love the European head light set up and the turning lights . They were a head of thier time.

The turning head light's were great

It is so sad that this country was so backwards on lighting
laws.
The turning lights were wonderful. Tucker had one in 1948 .
We had trouble even going to a four head light system. In
1957 if
you are old enough to remember all the 57 cars made room
for
four light's but could not install them, a few like Mercury
made
them an option in 57 but they could finally be used in 58.
And
also before that the sealed beams had to be the large one's
and
it took an act of congress to get smaller sizes so four
would
fit.
Now it seems today anything anything goes.
