with absolutely no preassembled components. It's a Pocher on steroids!!! This CMC 1938 Alfa Romeo Super Light (Superleggera) 8C 2900B Speciale Touring Berlinetta is modeled after the one of 5 survivor now in the Alfa Romeo Museum. Touring also made a similar looking street car that had a similar shape with more glass in the rear. Its 220 hp 2.9 liter straight 8 along with its light weight and aerodynamic body made it the fastest race car of the late '30s. Built for the 1938 Le Mans race, it immediately assumed a commanding lead until a tire blew and the resulting crash ended its 24 hour aspirations. It was sold and passed through a few hands until it was bought by Alfa Romeo to be shown in the "Storico" museum.

Now, the rest of the model:
The ultimate model build!
Very impressive as a car and as a model in all respects !
A model like this needs to be on a rotisserie, hiding all that mind-blowing chassis detail is criminal! Makes me wonder if the dash is fully wired & "connected." CMC replicated everything else!
This model is just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too fine! My goodness!
thank you for this mind-challenging post Rich
That engine detail is incredible to look at. Beautiful model too.
